I organized recipes (if you sing it, it’s very “Twelve-Days-of-Christmas”-sounding, mmkay?)
For the Prevention Cookbook, that is. If you’re not motivated to copy and paste a favorite recipe into an email, keep reading for some serious motivation.
Georgie of Ask Georgie has graciously offered the winner of the Prevention Cookbook Giveaway a hard copy of her published recipe book entitled, Dig In — a $25 value and packed with Georgie’s recipes. Oh, and did I mention she’s a dietitian? That’s right, double bonus! (Thank you, Georgie!)
What do you have to do to enter? Send me a recipe, it’s that easy. Here’s the details…
On January 1st, participants can expect a cookbook filled with delicious recipes delivered straight to their inbox, helping to start the new year right! Get to sendin’!
I have received 27 recipes with another 13 days to enter! I have also submitted 10 recipes that are absolute must-makes in this household — 37 recipes in total, many of which are vegetarian!

4 miles of fun…felt great!
Next up was ultimate relaxation of the body and stimulation of the mind…
Ohhhhhhhh yeaaaaaaaaa…that tub only seems to see action fro the hubby, but not this weekend!
My study materials for the Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) exam. Believe it or not, this is my preferred reading material, just glad it didn’t fall into the bath!
So sweet of your follow-up questions on Lily. She is doing wonderfully! It wasn’t 24 hours before she was back to her crazy, sassy self. She and husband took a 9-hour drive up to central Illinois yesterday and he said she was a complete angel the entire way. She and her brother-in-law have met for the first time and we didn’t know how that would go. Husband says they are “coexisting” and we’ve learned that Lily does not enjoy being humped, haha!
She does, however, like her brother’s bed and has made herself right at home…
Enjoy your Saturday, I know I’ll be enjoying mine (despite only “sleeping in” until 8am!)!
Thanks for tracking me down in my new “home” and thank you for the warm welcomes to my new site and WordPress.
And a HUGE thanks to Thomas for his fabulous work on my site!
What are you up to this weekend?
Do you like being alone, or does being home alone creep you out?
Have you submitted a recipe to the Prevention Cookbook?

Love Jersey Shore, it’s my new favorite guilty pleasure!
I love to be home alone, but not all of the time. I like a nice balance between alone time and being with others.
I have an ugly sweater party tonight, then tomorrow shopping. ugh, hate the crowds!
Hope you are having a great weekend!

Sounds like you are enjoying your alone time…
I like spending time alone but haven’t really in about two years (since the toddler was born), so yes, I’d love some alone time!!!
Submitting a recipe to the Prevention Cookbook is on my “to do list!” I appreciate the reminders….

OK, so I LOVE the blog AND the dog. I want an english bulldog SO bad and I’ve tried for awhile to get one from a rescue…but no luck.
I shall email you a recipe pronto!
Also, you have my dream job. I wish I could work in the health/fitness profession, but I discovered that dream a little too late in my college career.
Maybe someday though!

Oh I am so jealous of that bath! I can’t wait to get a nice one like that. Now I am afraid to take a bath because our tub is gross. Our apartment is so old….I just can’t wait!

Hi there,
I want to say thank you much for the comment on my blog. (yeah I love michael buble and John Krasinski…Emily blunt has/has best of both worlds, no?).
Anyway, I so so appreciate new comments and readers, please stop by more if you are interested
You have a real nice blog here as well. You must be getting such a big collection of ideas for the cookbook.
December 20, 2009 at 3:49 pm
Sounds like a fun thing to do! I’ll have to search around for some of my best recipes!
December 20, 2009 at 11:39 pm
I love the new site. Are you studying for the CDE exam. I was going to take it too but we moved overseas and so I am just short on my hours. Good luck. Looks like a nice relaxing bath.
December 21, 2009 at 2:50 am
Hey Melinda! I have 270 hours in less than 6 months, so I am right on track to take the exam sometime in the next 18-24 months (the exam is only offered twice a year, ugh!). I can’t believe I’m accruing the hours so quickly, it’s great! There’s a chance my husband’s job my take us overseas (again), so I am busting tush to get those hours in within 2 years. If I’m tired and I have 3 more patients on my schedule for the day, I’ll say to myself, “You want those hours, Nicole!” — it’s a friendly motivator : )
December 21, 2009 at 10:34 am
I guess I would have to go to the states to take it too. I just don;t know what to do since I didn’t get enough hours. Even with diabetes classes and the type 1 patients in peds, it was tough since I was all over the place covering everything. Good luck on the exam. What will you do if you move overseas? Where were you overseas before? Is he military like my hubby? Sorry for all the questions. I am totally curious.

December 21, 2009 at 4:52 am
Love the new look! I’m glad your puppy is okay – that’s a relief.
I enjoy just being in the house by myself on occasion. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does I’m really happy!
Definitely going to do the recipe!!
December 21, 2009 at 4:58 am
love the new look!! I think it depends when I am home alone, if it is at night late, and it is bad weatehr out, I would prefer to NOT be alone, but if it is during the day or eearly evening, no biggie!!
I submitted a recipe to your book!
December 21, 2009 at 6:34 am
I’m excited for the recipe book!
I was snowed in until today…and we were supposed to have a family party with 21 guests, which has been narrowed down to about 3 due to all the snow!
December 21, 2009 at 7:11 am
Oh I’m SO excited about the cookbook and to see all the recipes!!! Thanks for doing this – what a great idea!
