Losers, like my husband.
His lack-luster opinion and participation in breakfast is a pet peeve of mine. It’s right up there with ohhh…leaving hangers scattered throughout clothes so that when you want to hang clean laundry, you first must go on a hanger hunt. *grrr*!!
But in all seriousness, I love breakfast and weekends allow time for creative, fun, and delicious breakfasts! Alone. Husband doesn’t join in. Loser.
Husband is out of town this weekend so there was no raining on my breakfast parade. I decided to try the crepe recipe Jess posted and they turned out great! Nom nom nom!
Filling: low-fat ricotta cheese mixed with Cool Whip
Topping: sugar-sauteed blueberries (in a pan over medium heat sautee berries with 1 tsp sugar, until juices being to ooze from the berries)

I had big plans for Lily and I to walk a full 2 miles today. But, here’s what we ended up with:
A bit blurry…1.45 miles in 32 minutes and 42 seconds
Mommy burned a meager 133 calories…date with the treadmill later, it is. 🙂 Lazy pup!
I’m all registered to go to the BlogHer Food ’10 Conference in San Fran October 8th & 9th! I am soooooooo excited! You should go, too! Check it out here! 🙂
Gina of Candid RD is giving away light coconut milk, white chocolate wonderful, Smart Balance peanut butter, and a Pilates DVD!
Jamie of Food In Real Life is giving away Chobani!
Question: Colts or Saints? Puppy Super Bowl anyone? 🙂
Crepes are the best! I’m jealous 🙂
What a great looking breakfast! I wish I was a big breakfast person… I might make this for dinner 🙂
I don’t really care about the Super Bowl but it is always more exciting when the underdog wins so if I was rooting for anyone, it would be the Saints for sure. Especially because they are from New Orleans!
I lol’d at the “hanger hunt”! Doesn’t everyone know that immediately upon the clothing being removed from the hanger, the hanger must be re-hung along side the other empty hangers?? C’mon Mr. Prevention RD, get with the program! 🙂
My husband is the same way – he usually doesn’t eat until lunch!
Glad you got to make your own breakfast though! 😀
I’m a major breakfast fan– I wake up SO excited to eat it! 🙂 Nerd alert!
I’ll have to check that conference out! I’m going to the fitbloggin’ conference in Baltimore in March, and I’m super excited!
OH, and WHO DAT!!! GEAUX SAINTS!!! 🙂
Your breakfast is beautiful! Crazy your husband wouldn’t eat something like that even if you made it for him. It’s strange, I find myself convincing so many of my friends they should eat breakfast, when I find myself just naturally wanting to eat it!
What’s that they say? That BREAKFAST is the most important meal of the day? 🙂 Yours looks SO yummy!
crepes! that’s the luxurious thing about weekends for me too, more time to prepare brekkie. in my casa that translates to pancake sundays! sorry your husband is a “loser” and doesn’t love breakfast, i have a feeling you’ll bring him over to our side eventually!
yumm! Those crepes look delish! My fiance loves a good hearty breakfast, but he’s so hungry when he wakes up, he can’t wait for me to cook something.
Lily is so adorable! her underbite is so cute
Woohoo Lily made a cameo! my sunday is now complete lol
Dude if the hubs does not want to eat the bfast you make,I will come right on over! that looks amazing
Good looking breakfast!
I can’t stand it when my hubs leaves hangers in the clothes. Move them to the END of the closet!
My boyfriend’s not a breakfast person either. Sometimes he eats a banana, that’s it. I don’t get it!
Wow your crepes look amazing! Jealous that you are going to Blogher! I don’t think I can afford it unless they accept me into the volunteer program!
bahhaa love the title!
you are so sweet for real
can you make me some crepes?! that would be AWESOME! those look sooo good!
Wow… Your crepes look really great! And it’s so true the first crepe is always bad, for some reason. But then I just love flipping them…
So cool you get to go the the BlogHer Conference!
Those crepes look delicious. I’m all for cool whip in my breakfast.
I’m also all for the puppy bowl. They’re just so cute.
OMG my husband does the same thing with the hangers and it drives me nuts! Fortunately he like breakfast but he likes it way to late for my taste he claims his stomache needs to wake up.
Those crepes look awesome, mmmm more to try.
Crepes are something that I really want to conquer. YUM!
So jealous of the conference. I really want to go but can’t take time off from work. You will have to keep us posted.
Mmmm, what fabulous breakfasts! I like having breakfast for dinner but can never convince my hubby to do so!.
Mmm.. crepes!! They’re beautiful. Tasty too I bet, but for whatever reason I just LOVE oats in the morning. I’ll have to try crepes for dinner. Beakfast is my favorite meal anytime of day. 🙂
The Blogher Conference last year looked like so much fun! I’ll look into it. I’d love to be there. SF is cheap airfare from Seattle.
And Lily is so stinkin’ cute 😀
Gorgeous breakfast!! Lily is super adorable!! 🙂
Poor hubby…he doesn’t know what he’s missing. Gosh I love breakfast! Couldn’t go without it if I tried.
I dislike hanger hunting too. Happened this morning….xo
crepes and pancakes are the same way – the first one is never the best one – wonder why that is
Oh, and those crepes…..my those look awesome. I have been using a lot of ricotta lately. great idea here!
I never even knew about the hanger hunt! In my world they stay where they were because that’s the section where I’ll need them to be when I go to hang my clothes back up once they’re clean. I don’t have a big closet so I guess it’s just never been an issue that’s occurred to me. Tomorrow morning I’m totally going to worry if I should be doing it differently though – I’m too type A.
Wow! I want to have breakfast at your place! 🙂 The crepes look amazing!
Congrats on going to BlogHer Food! So exciting! I don’t think I can attend, but maybe we can meet up… 🙂
Oh yes, your breakfast looks delicious!
AWESOME!! I’m jealous. That will be such a great time!!
Related to your hubby eating breakfast, Nick used to be a non breakfast eater too. I’ve convinced him otherwise. He still manages to skip it on some days, but if I offer to make him a smoothie or cereal, he will eagerly eat it. It’s almost like he just doesn’t want to make it, that’s why he doesn’t eat it! Men are weird. He could go until lunch without eating if he had to,not me! I can’t barely go an hour after waking up!
The crepes look wonderful. They put my oat bran that I am eating to shame. haha
crepes look fantastic…loved the presentation of it…
Oh my….those crepes look perfect! I’ve never understood people who don’t have breakfast. I’m hungriest in the morning/early part of the day – I would be a major GROUCH without food!
That is so exciting about BlogHer!
The crepes look heavenly! It takes me a few hours after waking up to get hungry. I usually use that time to workout.
Those crepes look great! You are super talented because they can be hard to work with.
Mmmm. Looks delicious!
I’m definitely a breakfast person too…
Please let us know about the conference… It’s such a great initiative!
Breakfast is my favorite meal, hands-down (my hubby doesn’t eat breakfast either, lol!). Your crepes look divine!
I really REALLY want to go the BlogHer convention–we will see! Anyways, I haven’t made crepes in ages. My favorite flavor combo used to be pumpkin pie ones. You add a little bit of pumpkin pie spice to the batter, then the filling is canned pumpkin, ricotta cheese and walnuts. So good!
Hey Cassie! Those crepes sound delicious!!! A heads up on BlogHer — I heard that last year registration was filled in a week! I hope you can make it!! 🙂
Omg your crepes look so good! Luv breakfast
I LOVE BREAKFAST!!! 🙂
