boring!

With our big move right around the corner we are whittling away our freezer, pantry, and garden so trying creative, new recipes have been on hold 🙁 I did make baked squash sticks with fresh squash from my garden. The recipe was similar to this one for zucchini sticks, but I just used marinara sauce for dipping. They were delicious!

I also made more garden fresh pico de gallo with more garden yield! The Prevention garden is still pumping out the produce — so sad to be leaving it behind! 🙁

I didn’t even workout yesterday — my first day off in 14 days! I logged 24 miles of running and a hockey game last week…I’m really working on being consistent with my exercise! Which, by the way, is much easier to do when you aren’t working 11-12 hours a day

I am playing my last hockey game in Tulsa today (sad!) and we’re going to celebrate with beers at the rink afterwards 😀 I’m excited!

And since my life is so boring, I’ll share some pictures Mr. Prevention took of Lily this weekend…

Pretty cuuuute 🙂

Hard to believe this is my 400th post! Time flies when you’re having fun! 😀

Question: What are you up to this weekend? Get in any fun workouts?

Be well,

Not boring at all ๐Ÿ™‚ A move is anything but boring. What a lot of work. Happy packing ๐Ÿ™‚

That middle picture of Lily is so precious. Garden fresh pico de gallo certainly isn’t boring missy! One bite of that stuff is like an explosion in your mouth.

You, my friend, are one of the least boring people I know. Hockey? Garden veggies? Zucchini sticks? Miss Lily who is adorable? All excellent and interesting things.

Even though moving is a lot of work, and a little scary, I am sure you must be at least a little excited to see new things, meet new people, etc. ๐Ÿ™‚

I ventured to get my haircut (just posted on this experience) and today I saw Toy Story 3. It was a good weekend!

Wow, I’m so impressed with your garden goods! We tried some peppers but they failed. I figured it was heat related, but I’m guessing it’s even hotter where you are, so maybe that was wrong. We are produce a TON of squash right now, mainly acorn, and we have ONE pumpkin coming in (I was hoping for about ten, so sad).

No great exercises lately, aside from the elliptical (which kicks my butt every time). Good for you for going 14 days STRAIGHT with exercise! That’s very impressive.

Lily is so adorable! This weekend i took it light on the workouts with the parental units visiting, but I made a slamming workout playlist, and made my list of 101 things to do (okay maybe 50) in the area which I live which has a ton of parks & small towns – and I’m sad to say I have not taken advantage of.

Your dog is too damn cute! I actually am not going to the store because I think I can make due with what we have – I might have to be a tad creative though! ๐Ÿ˜€

Hope your last hockey game was fun!

I love the photos of Lily!

I went on a nice hike yesterday morning. I have been wanting to hike for so long, and it was nice to finally do it…

Yesterday we ran our first 5k, went out to dinner, and watched Inception! Today we are supposed to meet with a friend for a 15 mile bike right but it’s raining right now — so we’ll have to see if that happens!!

It’s sad that you have to leave such a fruit full garden behind!
Don’t you always smile or laugh when you look at lilly’s face? You are so lucky to have her.
Actually we were planning for BBQ and picnic over the weekend but the rain made us stay in… so we cook a lot of food and play cards, watch movie and sleep ๐Ÿ™‚ No exercise at all… but definitely run tomorrow ๐Ÿ™‚
