EVERY Thursday, Mr. Prevention decides he wants something specific for dinner. A craving, if you will. It drives me…bananas!
I like to eat out 1-2 times on the weekend, and enjoy all other meals at home. I do meal plan, after all (hint, hint, Mr. Prevention). Last night I had planned the menu to include Chicken Souvlaki from Bekkah of A Lot of Love, A Lot of Hope, but Mr. Prevention decided he wanted needed PIZZA. Luckily, I keep some of Trader Joe’s whole wheat pre-made crust on hand, so I was able to whip up a salad and pizza in no time…and avoid the calories and cost associated with take-out pizza.
So dinner looked something like this:
Salad with Girard’s Apple Poppyseed dressing…mmM!
Whole wheat pizza with red onion, bresaola, banana peppers, and fresh mozzarella…yummm!!
Question: Do you get cravings?
I honestly don’t get cravings, and when I do…it’s super rare. Maybe this is because I meal plan and look forward to what’s on the menu for the week? I don’t know, but I really don’t get cravings!!

No cravings?!? I always have them. One day I wanted Jimmy John’s so bad. Unfortunately here I have a hard time fulfilling my cravings :).
I bet that drives you nuts when you had a plan. I plan my whole day out and I try not to get all crazy when Ryan changes something in that schedule because in the end, it is me being neurotic and I love spending time with him. I just need to think quick how to rearrange things so it all gets done. I am a huge planner. A little on the OCD side 🙂
Looks like the dinner turned out nice. I do get cravings, usually for sweet, so I have recently been eating fruit instead of PB cups to get some sweet, although I usually have a small portion if I have a major craving.
I would say around here if we spot a soft serve machine at a cafe, we usually crave it right then and there. we must get it. I am not kidding, we once got a small cone on the way to dinner just because we passed it, and then after dinner and walking around by the beach, we got another one on the way back to the car. I have to reconsider where I park when I go down there because my normal spot is too convenient almost right in front of a cafe called Copa Cabana, and their soft serve machine is out on the side walk. It is unavoidable!
I am always craving something. Usually chocolate or something salty or savory… you know, typical.
I definitely get cravings but it’s not a daily occurrence luckily!
I usually don’t but that time of the month it’s like I’m pregnant or something. There’s always something specific I’m craving. Sorry if that’s TMI.
I definitely get cravings! It’s not usually on a certain day, they pretty much just hit me out of the blue. I’ve had many menu plans messed with because of cravings. My husband doesn’t really get them though.

I really don’t get cravings either. Maybe for dessert, but not usually for my meal.
Looks great! I need to start meal planning more often! It would save me that 30 minutes of deciding what to make for dinner ha!
I always get cravings. That’s how I know what to eat 90% of the time. For breakfast, I wanted banana, soy yogurt, and strawberry, so I went from there and figured something out.

My cravings come post dinner…aka SWEETS! Chocolate chips, ice cream, caramels, cake, cookies. I think you get the picture. Gotta have something sweet before I go to bed! Maybe that’s what gives me my sweet disposition when I wake up in the morning. ummm yeah that’s it!!!
I almost always have cravings for sweets – it really sucks when you are trying to maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle… 🙂
I love it that you can just whip up a pizza. I don’t keep my pantry stocked like that… That salad looks incredibly yummy too.
I have cravings ALL the time. One of my colleagues mentioned falafel the other day and I’ve got to get my hands on some. Otherwise, I’ll go crazy. And, once I started eating it, the jones will probably last for a week or so…
I get cravings every now and then, but its more because I see something on a blog and cant stop thinking about it.

I get a craving and always fulfill it – which usually ends up being a whole carrot cake with frosting…

I only crave ONE thing….sweets! Chocolate, ice cream, cookie dough…you name it. I meal plan, too (most of the time), so maybe that’s why I never crave meals?
I don’t get cravings either, but today I did! It was so strange. I had a craving at lunch time for both sushi and Subway. Both VERY strong cravings. So weird! Sushi won out. 🙂

It is nearing dinner time as I post this and that makes me hungry for something nutritious and yummy!!
And I most definitely get huge cravings.. I have started to try not to deny them so much any more. Go with them rather than denying myself. But I really do crave more nutritious things now, which is a good thing..
Oh yes, I definitely get cravings!! But honestly, I got them even before getting preggers. That pizza looks really good!!

haha, typically it’s the women who gets the cravings, NOT the man!! I love it. I don’t really get cravings either, other than for chocolate, but I think I make those cravings up just because I can use the PMS excuse 🙂
The pizza looks fabulous. I’ve used the TJ’s crust and it’s delicious. I wish they made it in wheat free though, so I wouldn’t only get to taste a little of it. I am going to be testing some wheat free pizzas at GE soon. I hope to find a great one.

I got cravings when I was younger, but as I have gotten older and become a parent, just having dinner is a win for me.
