Okay, furmoms and furdads…doggie pupcake delights!! For those of 2-legged origin, regular eats and recipes to ensue tomorrow 😉
If making cupcakes for your furbaby isn’t love enough, check out my Discover card bill this month. Pups are expensive. With Mr. Prevention traveling last week and my insane work schedule, Lily was not only at daycare on her birthday (Wednesday), but also on Monday and Friday. I believe spoiled is the understatement of the week if we’re talking about Lil Lil.
I have a mug at work that reads, “The best children have four legs.” And while that might be true, I think my first born is out an ivy league education. You know, assuming we were to give birth to a prodigy 😉 But we could’ve had a few nice trips to Hawaii…maybe even Europe…once or twice. The things we do for love…
So if you’re into spoiling your 4-legger, have at it. This recipe made 48 mini cupcakes, so bake for a bunch, halve the recipe, or freeze them for lots of future treats! Hope your favorite pup enjoys!
[print_this]Peanut Butter Pupcakes from Bake Space

2 cups water
1 egg
1/2 tsp double strength vanilla
3 cups whole wheat flour
1 Tbsp baking powder
2 Tbsp honey
1/2 cup peanut butter
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 F. Spray cupcakes or mini cupcake pan with non-stick cooking spray, or line with cupcake liners.
In a large bowl, mash bananas with a fork. Add all ingredients and combine well.
Fill muffin tins to the top of the well. Bake mini pupcakes for 15 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Bake larger pupcakes for 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Allow to cool for 3-5 minutes in pan before inverting onto cooling rack. Allow pupcakes to cool completely before feeding them to your dog. Yield: 48 mini pupcakes.

I hope everyone’s weekend is off to a great start! Enjoy!
Question: What’s your birthday dessert request? 🙂
Happy day,
Did you taste them? They actually sound pretty good to me! My favorite dessert is probably a Carvel ice cream cake. I love those crunchies in the middle.

I didn’t try them, actually…but I would ๐
OMG peanut butter muffins? WANT.
I made a peanut butter cake for my pup last year and invited her doggie friends over for a puppy party. It was awesome and they ate the cake so fast I didn’t even get to take a picture!
Lily is so cute and so lucky to have you as her mommy!!!
Last year for my birthday we got a flourless chocolate cake with coffee-flavored whipped cream, and it was wonderful. I think I’ll ask for it again this year! ๐
Have a great weekend!
Awww, happy belated birthday to Miss Lily!!
Okay…so I would make these to share with me and my pup!
These look great! Our pup, Finn, had his birthday about two weeks ago and I coudl not find a cupcake recipe for him that I liked. I’ll have to try these for a belated birthday dessert!

I hope Finn loves them ๐
Happy Birthday Lily!
I’m that crazy (no offense) girl who mades homemade treats for her dog too! ๐ They truly are our children! ๐ P.S. I’m trying your buckwheat pancakes this morning! I’ve have buckwheat flour for a while and haven’t opened it yet!
Have a great weekend!

A little crazy are we…I agree ๐
I hope you like the pancakes!
I think I may have to make these for Lexie pretty soon. I think she’s earned a treat. ๐
Okay – this is just too cute! I love my furry friends and always keep treats on hand. Must give these a try!
What a lucky girl!! Who doesn’t love a PB muffin?? Yum. But, my request is always carrot cake. Nothing beats it.
Nick wants a dog but I keep telling him we have WAY too many things to do with the house before we buy one. I don’t think he understands how expensive they are!

So time-consuming. So expensive. I really had no idea on either front. It’s just like having a kid (I think, and so I’ve been told)! LOL ๐
I just LOVE this post. Like every other dog, my golden retriever is obsessed with peanut butter. I swear he can hear me pull the jar out of the fridge from a mile away. I can’t wait to make these for him.
Happy birthday to Lily! Puppies are totally expensive…but they are also totally happiness-inducing. SO WORTH IT.
These pupcakes sound perfect! I’m going to have to make them for my little puppy!
Oh my goodness, Lily is just too cute… ๐ I adore your Lily posts… ๐ Happy Birthday to Lily!!! ๐ The photo of her about to have a cupcake – oh my goodness – heart-meltingly precious!!! These cupcakes sound so wonderfully nourishing, and I love the idea of baking for our four-legged-children – do you think cats would like them too? ๐ Btw, we have a cat named “Lilly” – I hope Lily isn’t offended… ๐
Thank you so much for your sweet, kind words welcoming us to Ohio! ๐ We love it here already!! Once I figure out North vs South on Dayton’s one-way streets (giggles), perhaps a blogger-meetup in Columbus sometime? ๐

Anytime! I’ll be there!
Aww, happy birthday Lily!!! What a cutie!! The things we do for puppy love – I always swore I would never pamper Madeline … and now, she has a red velvet cushion on desk that she can lay on whenever she wants. And our floor is littered with toy remnants ๐
Those cupcakes look fantastic, Nicole! I would totally try them myself – they look good for humans, too! My favorite birthday dessert request is anything with chocolate, although I wouldn’t give that to the puppies ๐
Have a great Sunday, Nicole!
Pupcakes for all! Nicole these really do look delish. Happy birthday to Lily! xo
They look and sound pretty good! I love that last pic!! My pup’s bday was yesterday and didn’t get anything like this….I better not tell him or he’ll be so jealous of Lily ๐
Thanks for the recipe. I have a pup with an upcoming birthday so I may have to make these for him.
I know I am late but I had to wish my favorite dog, a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! Happy Birthday lily!!!!!! you are so spoiled and deserve it!
