…I cook a lot!
I wanted to give a heads up that I have not only updated, but hopefully improved the method by which recipes are stored and organized on this blog – the Recipes Index. The list of recipes was getting rather long, so I opted to make more specific categories for ease of use. I also highlighted vegetarian recipes by making their text green. It is assumed that muffins, doughnuts, and dessert items are vegetarian, however. 😉
The categories currently include:
- Dips, Hummus, and Salsa
- Other Appetizers and Starters
- Entrees – Chicken
- Entrees (Other)
- Vegetarian Entrees
- Pasta Dishes
- Vegetables and Vegetable Sides
- Crock Pot
- Breads, Rolls, and Doughs

- Dessert (Other)
- Popsicles, Ice Cream, Sorbet, and Slushes

So hopefully that tidied things up a bit and recipes are easier to access for you, dear reader! 😀
I biked to the farmer’s market this morning — 10 miles round trip — and got a head of lettuce and some gorgeous beets. It’s a beautiful day in central Ohio…so pretty, in fact, that I’m also going to head out for a run after hitting “Publish!”
This afternoon I would like to make some marinara from scratch — tomatoes from a local farm were $0.99/lb this week and we have a half-empty bottle of wine. Meant to be? I think so.
