Happy Halloween!
I’m not one to get all excited about Halloween. I’ve never really been into it. The candy, however…I’m into that.
The kind people of Equal Exchange offered to send us fair trade chocolate to hand out to Trick or Treaters this year. Of course I was happy to accept their generous offer and I have had a lot of trouble showing any self restraint around this delicious chocolate.
Mr. Prevention encouraged, from China, that I buy some “real” candy…but, no. What better way to spread the word of fair trade chocolate than on Halloween? I sure as heck know that parents all over this town will be raiding their kiddos trick or treat sacs full of goodies! I’m all for making a statement and this is one I stand behind wholeheartedly.
Tonight, Trick or Treaters, get ready.
I sent in my manuscript. I have a hockey game at 8:45pm tonight. Let me tell you, I feel like I’ve aged a decade since Sunday. So uncool.
Back soon with a recipe 🙂
Happy Halloween!
Be well,
I’m hoping all the stress is almost done for you! Have a good halloween! ๐
At least it’s chocolate! Aside from pop (which I don’t even like and it weighs down your pillowcase) the worst thing I’ve gotten was some sort of seaweed chips from the Maritimes. Granted, we had the option of seaweed chips or regular chips, but I wanted to try something different.
I’d like to try them again to see if I’d like them now. I think my tastebuds have changed in the last 6 years.
. . . and yes, the last time I went trick or treating was 6 years ago. Don’t judge.
Happy Halloween!! Hopefully the stress will calm down soon!
Oh I’m so excited for you. ๐
Also, I love the idea of handing fair trade chocolate. I mean, the kids are going to eat tons of it anyhow, so they may as well be eating the good kind.
I’m all for fair trade chocolate — what better way to teach kids about fair trade than with free chocolate?
I hope the rest of this week is more relaxing for you!
Funny – the candy is the part of Halloween I’m least into!
