A really late response, but have you tried frozen peas and blueberries? Or anything chopped small like that frozen. The cold may help her if she is teething.

Hang in there – in spite of the hunger strike she seems to be thriving! I have a 15 month old (first baby) and have been enjoying following your journey with Shea. My experience with feeding is like what you said at the end – it never quite matches expectations and “patterns” seem to change all the time!

I started following your blog recently. My daughter is a few weeks older than yours and we’re having the same issues! That coupled with reflux has made for some challenging times. My doctor just told us to stop fruits all together because she’s had such a hard time digesting them (i.e. painful gas). She’s also on a sleep strike, up several times at night. I hope your little one grows out of it soon….mine has yet to and she’s digging in!

Isn’t she old enough now for you to offer something other than purees? I don’t mean toss her a T-bone, but gently mash whatever you’re eating and offer her a bite from your plate. She doesn’t need teeth for many things — just let her have a small bite and gum it to death. It’s entirely possible she sees what you and her dad are eating and thinks there’s something not quite right about her not getting some of that instead of the mushed-up, unrecognizeable food she’s getting, even if it is tasty. Use your judgment about what from your plate to offer her and see what happens. You might be surprised that your girl is ready for things you hadn’t planned for so soon.
