Simple Stovetop Applesauce

Serves: 10 servings (2/3 cup each)
  • 15 apples, peeled, cored, and cut into large chunks
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
  • 1½ tsp cinnamon
  • ⅔ cup fresh apple cider
  1. Combine all ingredients in a large pot set over medium-low heat. Allow to simmer, stirring occasionally, until apples are very tender, about 20-30 minutes.
  2. Once softened, mash the apples with a potato masher or for a smooth applesauce, puree using an immersion blender or blender. Refrigerate 4+ hours before serving.
