Coffee Chili

Ingredients
  • 1 lb 93% lean ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can refried beans
  • 1 can corn, drained
  • 1 can hot rotel
  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 2-3 cups water
  • 1 cup brewed coffee
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ⅛ tsp cayenne
  • 3 Tbsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp salt
Instructions
  1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown meat over medium heat, breaking up with a wooden spoon. Add onions and cook until softened. Add garlic and cook for 30-60 seconds, or until fragrant.
  2. Add all remaining ingredients, stir, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 hour. Serve hot.
