In reply to <a href="https://preventionrd.com/family-friday-vol-34-the-end-is-in-sight/#comment-443372">Jennifer</a>.

Hi Jennifer! Congratulations on your daughter! Thank you for reading along all this time - I'm flattered! :) Returning to work is a change, but hopefully you love the job you're returning to. Juggling mom-ing and working is a challenge, but a lot of it just takes time. My hubby is also gone in the mornings so I fly solo in getting out the door in the morning - never easy! Get as much done in the evenings as you can - lunches, bottles, dishes, outfits...anything you can! For me, I have to get up before the kids in order to get myself ready. Hopefully that's an option for you so that you can have a bit of baby-free time to get yourself ready and anything else you need to do without a baby in your arms :) Use the weekends wisely to plan and prepare and just give yourself grace...it will get better every day you do the morning routine. If you can, do a dry run a few days before returning to work and you'll probably feel a lot better about the day you return - helpful to know you can do it. With Shea remaining in daycare, we have stuck with our morning routine (loosely) and it has helped a lot. I just have to get used to sacrificing a bit more sleep and getting myself presentable before the girls are up... ;) Best wishes and thank you again for reading! You'll do great, mama!

Hi Addie! Being a SAHM is not for me :) I am definitely a better mom as a working mom, but I think that's a very personal decision and each woman and family has to do what works for them! Is part-time a good balance? I work 4 days/week in the office and from home the rest of the time. My commute is 10 minutes and daycare is right around the corner. There are lots of factors to consider :)

Just because I'm currently grappling with being a working mom, albeit part-time, I'm curious if you have or would ever consider being a stay at home mom?
