still in full bloom!

Pictures should do the trick… 😉

The ‘rents cucumbers are going wild!

Swiss chard…impressive!

Chives galore!

Beautiful basil!

More cucumbers!

Bee hangout

Lunch: wheat tortillas with turkey, greens, peach, feta, red onion, walnuts, and a vinaigrette dressing. Ma did well! 😀

Brother & I after shoe shopping 😉

Heath bar cake à la Mama Prevention! Mmmm!

I spent the day shopping and visiting with friends and family. I even got in a 4.1 mile run at my old high school track, all while watching the freshmen boy’s soccer game — they won 4-2 😉

It was a PERFECT evening for dinner and drinks on a local pub’s patio…so that’s what we did. Obviously! 🙂

Question: What’s one thing you miss most about high school?

I miss the extracurriculars! Cross-country was a blast!

Off to the farmer’s market!

Can your mom send me some food plllllleeeeease? It all looks fabulous! And the herbs are gorgeous as well, hope you’re having a terrific time at home!

High school, I miss having all that energy I did. I would kill for half of that at this point…..and of course someone cooking for me, paying the bills, etc. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hey Nicole – don’t forget to get the donuts at the farmers market!

I miss all the sports I did – especially field hockey – although its weird that my hockey field is now a parking garage and they play across the street from the high school!

    Have fun!

I miss being so close with my entire class. We were only 40 kids, so everyone knew each other pretty well.

Now I can see where you picked up some of your gardening skills! I also love your mom’s idea of putting peaches in a wrap.

I miss coming home to mom’s home-cooked meals after a sweaty tennis practice.

Nice shoes!! and what a great garden. I do miss HS extras like dance and just being a ‘kid’. I can’t believe my 10 year is coming up in about 3 years!

Sounds like you are having a great time at home!

I miss the football games and all the hype that came around every weekend surrounding them. Tailgating and dressing up in game day gear… it was always a blast! The played “Hells Bells” during kick off at home games and I still get goosebumps when I hear that song.

Wow, your mom really came through on those wraps! Walnuts in a wrap?! I love it! And their garden is amazing. They have everything. Why go to a farmer’s market? It looks like your parents have their own!

I miss hanging out with friends all day in high school, and being able to socialize just about all day. Now it’s all work, and little play ๐Ÿ™

I miss the sports. Without the team mentality, I have little motivation to exercise on a regular basis. I miss the competetive environment of h.s. sports as well.

Looks like you’ve been having a wonderful time! Your parents’ garden is absolutely gorgeous, I can imagine all the goodies that come out of their kitchen! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Glad the shoe shopping was a success.

I remember running at my old high school on the track–it felt weird at the time, but I am glad for the experience as I moved far away and have not been back in almost 20 years.
