I have nothing exciting to write about today (shocker, I know!)…sooo I’ll share some pictures of my garden!
Have a great Thursday 🙂
Hellooooo, potatoes! I seeee you!!
You keep growing, Mr. Potato! Mmmkayyy?
I’ve got green onions…now I just need BIG onions! 😀
While I’ve made some rookie mistakes (Who knew potatoes and onions weren’t friends?!), I’d say my green thumb hasn’t turned black just yet! 😉
Question: If you could only grow one herb in your garden (imaginary or not) which herb would you choose?
P.S. My dear friend Erica is giving away TJ’s goodies! Check it out here!
Team Basil!
I am SO JEALOUS! Your garden looks amazing. If I could grow fresh chives I would – all year round. I know I probably could inside, I’m just THAT BAD at growing herbs and vegetables.
Wait … potatoes and onions aren’t friends?? ๐
Your garden is growing like crazy! I’m very impressed! When you had that crazy snowstorm a while back I was afraid your garden would go kaput, but it’s looking great! You are going to have a bountiful harvest this year.
We love growing basil especially, and we’ve been struggling with cilantro – so tasty, but so hard to grow sometimes!
I’m so envious!
I’d have to go with cilantro! Definitely.
Thanks for the shout out Nicole! Your garden looks great!
I think basil is very versatile as I use it in everything, so I am going to have to go with basil on this one!
I’d go with basil so that I could have fresh pesto whenever I wanted!!
LOVE the garden pics! It’s really coming along nicely!
Iโd pick basil. I love it! And if I could only pick one veggie, itโd be tomatoes. Theyโre the best from the garden.
Your garden is looking so nice…
If I had to choose one, I’d do basil so that I can keep making pesto!
Just one herb? I can’t pick between mint and basil. I love fresh basil (and pesto galore) but I use my mint all the time to make mint tea and strawberry mint lemonade. The choice is too hard I tell you.
Your garden looks like it is coming along fabulously.
*grumbles* Not fair. ๐ We horrible land for growing plants. It’s basically one big hill that starts in the backyard and keeps going down until you reach the street, so if I ever wanted to plant anything like scallions they’d just be tilted over by the time they got tall enough. ๐ We also have lots of animals go through our yard, including wild rabbits and cats, so it’d probably get eaten pretty quickly. o.O
I really want to grow basil in a pot. It’s my favorite herb ever. I might also like growing mint in the same pot since I hear that that keeps things that might like to harm my basil away, and I never use mint in my cooking which is a shame. But if it’s just one herb, basil all the way. ๐
Wow it’s making great progress!! You must have a green thumb for sure ๐
Your garden looks so pretty! I’d probably grow some basil.
The garden looks great!! Congrats :-).
Yay for gardens! Looks like it is coming along great! We already got a bunch of squash and cabbage off the school plants–but I can’t wait for tomatoes! Interestingly enough, I have never grown herbs at home. Not sure why.
Everything is popping up so nicely – it looks great!
Hmmmm, I would have to say cilantro. I LOVE that stuff. I look for recipes that include it JUST so I can have it more. ๐
Nice pictures. You are quite the gardener. I’ve managed to destroy mint which, as you know, is hard to kill and grows like wildfire.
I’d grow basil if I had a greener thumb…
I love herb gardens, yours is looking fantastic! Growing your own herbs is much easier on your pocket book then purchasing them for an arm and a leg at the store, too.
I’m on team Cilantro all the way!
What a pretty garden! If I could only grow one herb it would be a toss up between basil and cilantro! Don’t make me choose…haha!
you have a great day too and check out my giveaway if you get a chance!
Your garden looks great! I’d go for chives, I love them in everything ๐
I have a mint allergy, so some herbs are too fragrant for me and make my mouth itchy. Yes, it is a problem.
Your garden looks great. I would say you definitely have a green thumb. My neighbor just gave us a ton of potatoes from his garden and today my sister sent me a pic of her radishes. She is doing really well with her garden.
I would say basil or rosemary or sage. I love my basil even if I don’t use it much. Cilantro I can not stand
I am so excited to see these pics! I can’t wait until our stuff starts growing! Hmm. I wonder if our onions are near potatoes… I don’t think so.
I would grow cilantro ๐
I want a garden tooooo! I really need to read up on how to make one. Thanks for the inspiration!
I wish my garden was that far along but we just passed our last frost date so I’m lucky to have anything ๐
If I could only have one herb it would be Italian Parsley (not that curly crap which is only fit for a garnish ๐ ) I use it in so many dishes that I actually have some planted in the big garden not just in my herb garden
CILANTRO!! I would grow cilantro. Im trying to grow it in a little pot right now, and its doing OK. I have basil too, its not doing as well. ๐
Its funny, I was going to say your kale looks like kale and then I read thats exactly what you wrote. ๐
Your garden is looking great!
I have tried growing basil but I killed it. I want to try it again. It is definitely my favorite herb!
Your garden is amazing, Nicole! Love the cute potatoes peeking through. ๐ Hmmm, that’s a good question…I think I’d have to say parsley because i just it sooo much.
Last summer my boyfriend and I planted a huge garden. Unfortunately it rained almost everyday that summer and everything died! It was so disappointing…Your garden looks great, hope you enjoy it ๐

Cilantro for sure!
Your garden looks fantastic! I’m jealous! We live in a second story apartment, so the best I can do is potted herbs on the deck. But I do that!

So jealous of your garden. It looks beautiful! Still much too cold here in CT for planting a garden.
I’m so excited about your garden! I miss mine back in Tennessee already. It was just herbs but I LOVED having fresh herbs for cooking. If I could only grow one I would probably grow basil. It’s the one I used the most with cilantro a close second. ๐
The garden is looking great! We grew the yellow pear tomatoes last year. I prefer the red ones, but we liked those too.
One herb? Hmmmm. . . I guess it would be Basil.
Best of luck with your garden. Looks like you have some good stuff working.
Cheers!
Yay! Garden is coming on nicely! I don’t know about herbs…but I would LOVE to grow my own kabochas! ๐
wow! Your garden is looking amazing!!! I’m so excited for you!!! (and slightly jealous haha)
Looks to me like you’ve got quite a green thumb!
How funny that you’d pick basil…well so would I!!! I’m giving away 2 jars of organic preserves and immediately thought they would go with your breakfasts sooo well!! Does Strawberry basil preserves or blueberry merlot jam strike your fancy?
Awww, it looks great – I’m jealous ๐
I like basil and cilantro…it’s too difficult to choose one over the other!
