…I cook a lot!
I wanted to give a heads up that I have not only updated, but hopefully improved the method by which recipes are stored and organized on this blog – the Recipes Index. The list of recipes was getting rather long, so I opted to make more specific categories for ease of use. I also highlighted vegetarian recipes by making their text green. It is assumed that muffins, doughnuts, and dessert items are vegetarian, however. 😉
The categories currently include:

I biked to the farmer’s market this morning — 10 miles round trip — and got a head of lettuce and some gorgeous beets. It’s a beautiful day in central Ohio…so pretty, in fact, that I’m also going to head out for a run after hitting “Publish!”
This afternoon I would like to make some marinara from scratch — tomatoes from a local farm were $0.99/lb this week and we have a half-empty bottle of wine. Meant to be? I think so.
(Really Random) Question: Do you like chili? Do you think I should run a second annual Chili Contest in honor of the quickly approaching college football season?

Despite the fact that this season (and probably the next few) just WON’T be the same without our beloved Buckeye coach, I think a chili contest is in order for you again. I mean..you’re competitive, and you make some great chili..so why not?!
I haven’t been to one farmers market this year. I’m so mad! They are all during the time I work, accept for one on Mondays, which is about 25 minutes away…ugh. I wish I could just get on my bike and ride to one! So neat.
Absolutely to the chili contest! I have made last year’s winning recipe into a vegetarian option and need to win again!

Thanks for the updated index. I am fairly new to your site and I have been checking out the recipe list pretty closely . Have made several already . No Chili for me in SC …. Too bloomin HOT ! Will have to wait til November…..
