Nice Recipe Nicole, Most of the people still know, the French press is only good for hot brew, but it also brews a relaxing cold brew. The only difference is, cold brew takes much time. I saw you use Cold water to brew this, before I too use cold water, but when I tried room temperature water to in French Press, I got better tasting coffee, as normal water coffee gets most flavors from beans fresh and natural oil. Try this out sometime.

In reply to Samantha Angela. Also, I think I would be appalled by the amount of sugary beverages people actually consume if I were an RD. Maybe I'm just naive but I didn't think it possible to drink 2L of pop a day.

I’ve been using my new French press for cold brew coffee too. It’s super convenient! So convenient in fact that I’m trying really hard to only drink coffee when I don’t need the caffeine, hoping that it’ll prevent me from developing a dependence.

Also, Tim Hortons coffee is remarkably good. It explains why you can find one on every street corner in Canada (err.. or at least the Eastern half of Canada). Actually there are a lot of them popping up in Southeastern Michigan though as you drive west on 94 I notice the numbers dwindle.

I use either a splash of low fat milk or some Coffee Mate if I’m feeling sinful 😉 I just look to be sure I buy a product without trans fat…it pops up in coffee creamers all the time. 🙁

I agree about beverage choices! Coffee with a splash of raw milk is my morning ritual. Your iced coffee sounds amazingly strong, the way I like it!

i feel the same way about beverage calories – if its not fully satisfying, I dont want that sugar in my case. I need to invest in a French press now because i love cold coffee
