Family Friday (vol. 24): Nursery Tour for Baby Girl No. 2

Nursery 1

When it came to the interior design of our formal living room, I couldn’t make a decision to save my life. We eventually hired an interior designer and now, I love my formal living room.

But a nursery? Yeah, I’m in heaven and lack no ideas as to what I love.

Nursery 2

First, I decided on coral and pale teal as a color scheme. Shea’s nursery is VERY pink (and gray), but this nursery is a bit less girly. Kind of. 😉

My brother painted the room with Sherwin Williams’ Cashmere line- Alpine Air on 2 walls and Freshwater on 2 walls. It’s a soft robin’s egg blue/teal and I love it. Love, love, love it.

I then fell head over heals for this Coral Camilla bedding from Caden Lane. For me, it was a pricey purchase once I got 2 sets of sheets, crib skirt, blanket, and changing table pad. But, I love it. I got the matching boppy cover from Amazon. And now I want this Tula carrier to match!

For additional storage, I purchased the ladder shelf/bookcase which was very high quality and easy to assemble. These baskets fit perfectly on the largest 3 shelves, as well.

From there, I polled my mom’s group for anyone selling a crib and so the crib and changing table were purchased from a mom friend for a mere $150. Woop! I love the dark wood in contrast to the walls and soft coral tones.

I wanted a very neutral swivel rocker, and after having good luck with Wayfair’s selection when putting together Shea’s nursery, I found success again with this “sand” colored swivel rocker from Avery.

I knew I wanted ivory curtains with some type of fun pattern, but something that let in a lot of natural light. I found the curtains on Wayfair and was thrilled with the look, the price, and the quality.

The wall art was a labor of love and hunting at Target, Michael’s, and on Etsy. Most of the frames are from Etsy. The flowers are also from Etsy, and the “P” from this Etsy shop. I added burlap to some of the frames, but not all…clearly 🙂

Nursery 5

The floor lamp in the right corner is gaudy, according to hubby. I, however, love it – it’s also from Wayfair. Shea has a chandelier in her room which he also hates, but I love the vintage touch. The lamp was somewhat difficult to assemble – I actually didn’t add all of the crystals, but it looks great.

The circular wall storage below is also from Wayfair and was purchased as something practical to put smaller items in (bows, thermometer, whatever) since there isn’t an actual dresser in the room. We’ll see how cluttered it gets over time, but it will serve its purpose for now.

The shag rug was purchased from Amazon with low expectations as to what I would get for the cost. But, I’m pleasantly surprised! The rug is very soft and other than wanting to not always stay un-crumpled, it’s a great find.

Ta-da! There’s baby girl’s room tour. I love it..now we just need her! 🙂 67 days and counting down!

Happy 4th of July weekend!

Be well,
